Our Vision

REACH the lost.

The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost —Luke 19:10. Our desire is that each person who comes to SLVC would respond to the invitation of Christ and become a committed follower of Him. Not becoming a church goer, but walking out the abundant life He’s promised to those who enter into relationship with God through Him. What this looks like practically within our fellowship is our commitment to the entire counsel of God’s Word and pursuing Christ through discipleship.

GROW in relationships.

‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all you mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets’ — Matthew 22:37-40. God has designed us to be in relationship, first in relationship with Him and then with one another. We purpose to foster these relationships through intentional times of fellowship that seek to honor God and minister to the body of Christ.

GO and serve.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all sin the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him —Colossians 3:17. We are not merely the church when we gather on Sundays, but as disciples of Christ, we’re the church wherever we go. Once someone becomes a committed follower of Christ and is discipled, it is our desire for them to go into the world and serve others in the name of Jesus.
